DRAFTSMAN LEVEL II JOB DESCRIPTION
Office Location: Arvada, CO (suburb of Denver)
Industry: Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Controls Manufacturer
Duration: Full time – 40 hours per week
Desired Education: High School and Industry Certifications
Desired Experience: Minimum of 2 years drafting experience in in the following industries:
- Fire Alarm
- Ability to achieve NICET Level II Certification
- CNC and Sheet Metal Solid Works
Responsibilities: Develop CAD drawings and Solutions for Fire Alarm and Manufacturing Industry
Position: CAD Drafter Level II & Solutions Designer (Fire Alarm & Manufacturing)
Summary:
- To produce CAD drawings for fire alarm panel design and sheet metal manufacturing. Including but not limited to: floorplans, riser diagrams, and details using AutoCAD for fire alarm projects that vary in size and scope.
- To receive design documentation from customer, and produce submittal drawing of panel design.
- Delivers assigned projects effectively and within time schedules
- Recreate panel design to fit into standard size enclosure
- Use FA experience to help develop prefabrication solutions
- Create point to point wiring details
- Maintain and track project drawing files, associated records and documentation
- Produce panel design and drawings in AutoCAD, in accordance to customer specification and instruction
- Reviews own drawings and co-workers drawings for quality and accuracy
Skills:
- Strong knowledge/experience in AutoCAD 2014 or greater,
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work under pressure, with regard to schedules. Overtime will be required when necessary.
- Ability to meet customers wants and needs without being prompted
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Understanding and commitment to customer service
- Highly motivated, self-starter, mature and career oriented
NICET Level II Certification and CAD Experience a big plus!
